Culinary Institute of America: Marlinda Housing
- Northern California
Constructed in the 1960s as senior housing, the Marlinda complex is located in St. Helena and was in poor condition when acquired by the Culinary Institute of America (CIA). ARG’s Master Plan for the Culinary Institute’s complex of historic structures previously identified the need for student housing. Rather than construct new housing on the historic site, the nearby Marlinda complex was deemed a potential housing resource. ARG provided master planning, design, and construction administration services to convert this senior housing complex into an adapted, vibrant facility for student housing at the Culinary Institute.
