The former US Naval Air Station at Moffett Field was decommissioned in 1994 and has subsequently been used by NASA Ames as a research center. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Shenandoah Plaza National Historic District, the historic core of the former Moffett Field base features buildings in the Spanish Colonial Revival style. Building 23, constructed in 1933, is a contributing structure and originally served as the base infirmary. ARG provided historical research, architectural, and interior design services for the adaptive reuse of Building 23 into a new 21,000 square foot facility with classrooms, computer labs, offices, and a conference center.
