Aaron Jon Hyland, AIA, Managing Principal

As the firm’s Managing Principal, Aaron directs all aspects of strategic planning, finance administration, client relations, and overall firm management. He is a registered architect with over 25 years of experience managing complex rehabilitation and new construction projects, particularly with academic and institutional clients who oversee numerous capital assets. He has overseen projects on many college and university campuses including Stanford, UC Berkeley, USC and Caltech. His current projects include rehabilitation of the historic buildings at Oregon State Hospital, restoration of Angel Island Immigration Station, and the restoration of Garrett Hall at the University of Virginia for the new Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy. Aaron leads ARG's internship and leadership development programs that host students from UC Berkeley, University of Cincinnati, University of Arizona, University of Hawaii, and high school students participating in the Build SF Institute.
